Your Role
As the Clinical Program Supervisor, you will provide clinical and
administrative supervision to Mental Health Counselors. This
position also functions as a mental health counselor and is
responsible for the development, implementation, and facilitation
of mental health services for assigned individuals, ensuring
integration of service planning and provision of services through
the involvement of the individual, family, the residential services
provider and other involved persons including agency staff and
referral sources while promoting a recovery-oriented environment
that considers the needs of the individuals served, the staff
providing services, and the mission of the organization.
Responsibilities
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the
organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities
include but are not limited to recruiting, onboarding, and training
employees; performance management; and conflict resolution.
Collaborate with the Clinical Services Manager to develop,
implement, and maintain clinical program services that meet the
individual needs of consumers served.
Oversee the development and implementation of mental health
assessments, treatment plans, and direct services provided by the
clinical staff, and function as the LPHA by demonstrating
leadership and support for clinical decision-making and mental
health crises.
Conduct quality assurance of all individual billing notes,
assessments, and treatment plans. Conduct periodic file reviews to
ensure compliance to Rule 132, 140, and accreditation bodies.
Provide direct services to individuals enrolled as prescribed in
their service plan, and complete all required documentation of
services provided in compliance with Rule 132, 140, and agency
policy, ensuring that philosophy of recovery is integrated in all
aspects of service planning and delivery.
Provide leadership to staff to ensure the provision of quality
services that are responsive to the expressed desires and interests
of individuals served, support the concept of self-advocacy, and
ensure the protection of rights.
Recognize staff talents, abilities and interests and provide
guidance to staff in utilizing these attributes to enhance
performance, job satisfaction and overall department
operations.
Provide open and authentic feedback on a regular basis and
demonstrate support by utilizing active listening skills,
encouraging an open dialogue to build a strong rapport with
staff.
Conduct regularly scheduled departmental meetings to ensure
effective communication amongst the team and to provide a forum for
input. Promote agency-wide teamwork through collaboration with
other departments.
Ensure that staff use sound business and customer service practices
in providing support to internal and external customers.
Schedule and status billing activities on a daily basis in the
Electronic Clinical Record. Monitor staff performance and enforce
billing, productivity, and compliance standards for the clinical
program team.
Maintain relationships with local mental health providers,
community psychiatric hospitals and other support services in order
to expand services and enhance supports to individuals served.
Provide person-centered and trauma-informed mental health services
utilizing best practice approaches to treatment.
Meet requirements and maintain compliance of applicable licensing,
funding, accreditation and other state/federal regulatory agencies,
including safety requirements and agency policies and
procedures.
Manage special projects and perform other duties/tasks as needed
and/or assigned.
Qualifications
Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work.
Minimum of two (2) years' experience working with individuals
experiencing mental illness and working knowledge of the
recovery-model.
Clinical licensing (LCPC/LCSW) or within 6 months of hire with 2+
years' clinical experience.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Valid driver's license and documentation of current auto insurance,
with an acceptable motor vehicle report.
Proficient in the use of computers, software applications, and
working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
