Job Description:
Expected Time Commitment:10-20 hours weekly (including the
following):
- Leading worship team during Sunday worship gatherings: Approx.
3.5 hour commitment (arrive at 8:45am, conclude at end of Sunday
worship gathering)
- Lead worship team practice
- Attend weekly staff meeting (via Zoom if needed): Approx. 1.5
hours weekly
- Take part in weekly worship planning meeting with lead pastor:
Approx. 30 minutes
- Attend monthly coaching sessions with lead pastor: Approx. 2
hours
- Coach/disciple assigned worship team members: One meeting per
team member per quarter, approx. 30-60 min eachHelpful

role.Background:The worship director is a vital role at Bethel
Community Church, acting as a key figure in leading the church in
praise and worship. The primary responsibilities for the worship
coordinator are focused on planning and management of a worship
team. While musical skill is a prerequisite, the worship
coordinator must have first-rate leadership skills to handle the
responsibilities that are not directly related to playing/singing
at a worship service.Responsibilities:
- Lead worship team during weekly Sunday gathering (10:15
a.m.)
- Lead band practice
- Work with lead pastor, A/V Team Leader and staff to plan weekly
worship gatherings and strategize to continually enhance the Sunday
gathering of BCC
- Plan events (like Easter, baptism, child dedication, etc.) and
introduce new songs and creative elements
- Assist in selecting songs and planning worship services
- Maintain a collaborative relationship with staff
- Oversee and coach the A/V Team Leader
- Disciple, Coach and maintain schedule for assigned worship team
members
- Help discover and develop new worship team members and
leadersProvided Training/Resources:
- Monthly coaching check-ins with lead pastor
- Church-wide leadership training events as announced
- Ongoing education through conferences and/or other informal
means, such as reading and discussing books, to develop
theological, musical and leadership skills
- Personal laptop for BCC use
- Church-owned guitar, keyboard, etc. available as neededCore
